Here is my contribution to the silent auction for the Book Arts Roundtable (BAR) fund raiser for a local food bank and for the ongoing work in South Africa at the Artist Proof Studio.
This will raise funds to support young artists as a means of self-development and economic survival in South Africa.
On March 13, 2010 the BAR wil present a silent auction and catered lunch at the Baird Center in South Orange, NJ to raise funds. I invite all of you in Central and North Jersey and the NYC area to attend and see some amazing works for a good cause. For more information:

Booked 6, an exhibition of artist’s books by members of the BAR
The Baird, South Orange, NJ
This highly anticipated exhibition features handmade books and paper that stretch the traditional definition of what a book should be. These artists’ creations may hang, float, tickle, or crawl; they may pop open, open on a hinge, or be held together with beaded bindings; some tell a story and some wait for you to fill their pages.

Pochoir (pronounced poh-SHWAHR) is a multiple stencil printing process used in fine art, decorative fabric and wall paper arts. Beautiful multicolored prints using simple and cut stencils. Once used in the production of French and Chinese wallpaper, today this technique is often employed to decorate interior walls. Pochoir methods can be adapted by illustrators, printmakers, book artists and decorative and fiber artists working in surface design.
